The Spectrum for Life (S4L) Lab is interested in better understanding what affects outcomes for adults on the autism spectrum.

To do this, we will ask you to complete surveys for different studies.  Your responses across the different studies will be linked together to help us better understand how different life experiences, individual traits, perceptions, and attitudes can affect life outcomes, such as health, employment, quality of life, and other outcomes. Linking studies together also makes sure that you do not have to take the same questionnaires multiple times if different studies will need some of that same information. You will also have the option to participate in longitudinal surveys. The surveys we ask you to complete are confidential.

Longitudinal studies are studies that take place over time. In these studies, people agree to retake the surveys at specific times, such as every two years. Longitudinal studies help up better understand how people change over time. They can also help us better understand what factors predict certain outcomes.

Current S4L Study topics include:

  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Employment
  • Sensation and Perception
  • Environmental Resources for Employment
  • Autism Characteristics (Phenotypes)
  • Personality
  • Bully Victimization
